Welcome to the Nevada Treatment Center

Nevada Treatment Center, a private non-profit corporation, formerly Southern Nevada Drug Abuse and Alcoholism Council, was established in 1973 and is comprised of a group of service programs providing treatment, education and rehabilitative services to the individual encountering a substance abuse problem and to the community to increase public awareness and effect positive social change. The agency has expanded the continuum of service provision to include HIV/AIDS related services. Program accreditation is provided by the State of Nevada, Bureau of Alcohol and Drug Abuse, Health Division, SAMHSA and CARF Accredited. All program activity is HIPAA compliant and also licensed and certified in accordance with local, state and federal requirements. CARF Accreditation was awarded to the Opioid Treatment Program.

State certified and licensed professionals skilled in the field of chemical dependency staff the agency.

Program Activity includes:

  • Methadone Detoxification and Maintenance
  • Outpatient Drug Free
  • HIV/AIDS Related Services including confidential on site HIV anti-body testing
  • Community Outreach
  • Gender Specific Groups

Treatment is eclectic in both design and approach. Methodology utilizes the following:

CONFIDENTIALITY
Nevada Treatment Center is strictly governed by federal and state confidentiality regulations pertaining to the release of the client records and/or client identifying data.

FEES
Client fees are utilized to subsidize program services and are based on a sliding fee scale. NO ONE is refused services due to inability to pay. The agency accepts Medicaid and is an authorized service provider. Private insurance is also accepted, if approved by the insurance company.

FUNDING
The program is funded with support from the Department of Health and Human Resources, Substance Abuse & Mental Health Services Administration, Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment Block Grant, No. 99 BI NV SAPT. GOVERNANCE
Agency direction is governed by a Board of Trustees.
